Chamonix – what an amazing place! And what a perfect venue for a Big Mountain contest. Although I was sick and on antibiotics, I skied a fluid line with a nice cliff drop to place 4th at this Freeride World Qualifier. The Norwegian, Ane Enderud, skied a great run that could have competed with the men! She easily won ahead of Rebecka Eriksson (SWE) and Eva Walkner (AUT).
This result puts me in 7th place overall in the World Tour Ranking. My next qualifier event for the Freeride World Tour will be in Taos, New Mexico (USA) where I have another chance to collect points to qualify for the FWT. The 3 best results of the competitors count towards the World Tour Ranking, which determines the new 2009 Freeride World Tour Champions and also the entry list for the 2010 season.
